Édgar Barrera (born April 18, 1991), also known by his professional name Edge, is an American songwriter, producer, and musician based in Miami, Florida. He has won a total of 20 Latin Grammy Awards and 1 Grammy Award including “Producer of The Year” in 2021. He has written and produced songs for artists such as Grupo Frontera (“un x100to” with Bad Bunny); Karol G (“Mi Ex Tenía Razón“, “Gucci los Paños“); Madonna (“Medellín”, “Bitch I’m Loca”); Peso Pluma (“Tulum” with Grupo Frontera, “Chanel” with Becky G); Shakira (“Me Gusta” with Anuel AA, “Clandestino” with Maluma); Maluma (“Hawái“, “Sobrio”, “11PM”, “HP”, “ADMV”, among others); Manuel Turizo (“La Bachata“, “El Merengue”); Grupo Frontera (“Bebe Dame” with Fuerza Regida, “Que Vuelvas” with Carin Leon); Camilo (“Indigo”, “Vida De Rico”, “Favorito”, “La Mitad”, “El Mismo Aire”, “Ropa Cara”); Christian Nodal (“Botella Tras Botella” with Gera MX, “Ya No Somos Ni Seremos“, “Dime Cómo Quieres” feat. At the 13th, 14th, 16th, 22nd and 24th Latin Grammy Awards ceremonies, Barrera made headlines for being one of the musicians with the most nominations during these years, achieving the feat of being the most nominated musician overall in 2023.[1][2]
